Security Authorisation

Purpose and amount. To cover loss or damage to the rented Calibre metabolic mask, you agree that we may store your payment details and initiate charges up to £150 (the “Security Authorisation”) after the rental ends, in line with the reasons and process below. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

When we may charge. We will charge some or all of the £150 only if:
a) the mask is not returned by the return deadline stated in your order confirmation; or
b) the mask is returned damaged or with missing parts beyond fair wear and tear; or
c) the mask is returned soiled/contaminated such that professional cleaning or part replacement is required.
We will never charge more than our reasonable, direct loss and never more than £150 under this clause. -
Inspection. On return, a trained staff member will examine the mask for damage/defects. We aim to complete inspection within 24 hours and will provide a short report (and photos where relevant). You may request a copy of the report. Fair wear and tear is not chargeable.

Notice and dispute window. If we propose a charge, we will notify you by email with the inspection report and the amount to be charged (≤£150). You will have 48 hours to ask questions or dispute before any charge is made, unless the item was not returned (in which case we may charge without delay). We will adjust/reduce any charge if new information shows our loss is lower.

How we charge. By completing checkout you authorise a future, merchant-initiated charge to the saved card for up to £150 only for the reasons above, within 14 days of return (or, for non-return, within 14 days of the due date). If your bank requires Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), we may send you a secure link to authenticate before the charge can be completed. If authentication is not completed, we may invoice you instead.

If no issues are found. If the mask is returned on time and passes inspection, no charge is made and the authorisation lapses automatically after the period stated at checkout.

Other remedies. If our actual loss exceeds £150 (for example, non-return requiring replacement), we may seek the balance by invoice or other lawful means, but we will never charge your saved card above £150 under this Security Authorisation.

Transparency. The Security Authorisation will be clearly shown in the cart and checkout as a separate line with £0 due now, and these terms will be available pre-contract.
